Of Mohawk, Cayuga, Potawatomi, and Ottawa descent, David A. Montour is a highly accomplished and Multi-talented artist who began his creative endeavors during his childhood in South Dakota and New Mexico. David’s many art mediums have been his professional focus and passion for most of his life. A true renaissance man, he has an impressive list of accomplishments. As founder of Clan-destine, David A. Montour, AKA That DAM Artist, continues devoting positive energy toward the development of Clan-destine.
Guitarist, engineer and producer Pete Mello delivers the goods live on stage and in the studio with Clan-Destine. Pete has played guitar for rock, blues, R&B, funk and jazz bands since 2000. Along with the stage and studio, Pete teaches guitar privately, and at a Montessori school. In 2003 Pete toured with Clan-Destine and now returns to the 2014 line-up. Bringing different people and cultures together through music is a passion of Pete’s, and his return to Clan-Destine is a part of his path of positivity, light and music.
Chad Cole is an in-demand upright and electric bassist born in Phoenix, AZ. His versatile playing adds depth and groove to Clan-Destine. He has studied both Classical and Jazz with greats such as Dr. John Ebinger, Tom Wakeling, Catalin Rotaru and Will Goble. Chad has also played to full audiences at venues in Phoenix such as The Mesa Amplitheater, Comerica Theater, Phoenix Orpheum, Symphony Hall and Marquee Theater.
Arian Robinson is a drummer/percussionist from Phoenix Arizona, that displays the skill and versatility to achieve success on and off the stage with Clan-Destine. He studied musical performance at Arizona State University under professors JB Smith, Simone Mancuso and dear friend Joshua Carro.
Kahara is an exceptionally talented vocalist and captivating entertainer. She is of Dine’, English, Mexican, and African American heritage. Kahara first captured the public’s attention as the lead vocalist for the Navajo singing group Dine’ Urban Voices and as a featured vocalist for her acclaimed high school choir program. She is a diverse vocalist experienced in singing traditional and social Dine’ songs, as well as, classical, jazz, a cappella, R&B, and pop songs. As a soloist and featured singer, Kahara continues to be blessed with the opportunity to enchant audiences with her spellbinding vocal charisma.
MaddieRose is a natural born entertainer- at a very young age she discovered that her passion was in the performing arts industry. She began to sing and soon after take on acting and modeling. She has been singing for 10+ years now and strives to cover popular songs and create songs of her very own as well. Her personal genre of choice would mostly be pop and country, as MaddieRose works a lot with this music style. MaddieRose is also honored to be Miss Arizona’s Outstanding Teen 2013. All in all, MaddieRose enjoys continuing to express her love for her community and our nation’s heroes! MaddieRose is only getting her career started, but she is always looking for new opportunities as she desires to continue her aspirations.
A Navajo Guitar player with a passion for mathematics, shredding solos and creating music. He earned a Bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies(Mathematics and Music)from Arizona State University. Working as a studio musician in several recording studios, Dez has been featured on songs and albums for many notable recording artists. Collaborating with Clan-Destine he is an integral player in creating the infectious energy that propels each song and performance.
